Conga Room

The Conga Room nightclub in LA is the original pan-Latino nightclub in LA. It started out in 1998 as a venue hosting salsa performances, but has since changed hands, changed location, and is thriving as a modern, fun dance club.

The style inside is one of the freshest looks you can get in Downtown LA. Designed by Belzberg Architects, it features modern geometric patterns and delightful lighting, reminding you of being in a garden and of sci-fi at the same time. Natural meets futuristic in here, and it is absolutely stunning. Especially when you consider the state of the art lighting systems, carefully plotted to illuminate the décor perfectly.

The dance floor is enormous, and you will be drawn to it. It reflects the lighting wonderfully, inviting you to mingle with the beautiful people under the lights. The VIP rooms are an absolute must as well. Overlooking the Staples Center and Nokia Plaza, they are the most comfortable, luxurious VIP club rooms in LA. They are also divided, so you will not have a shared VIP area with every other VIP. This level of intimacy is ideal for small groups.

If you want some solid drinks, then this LA nightclub will provide, with its three fully stocked bars and excellent at the table bottle service. Your glass will not stay empty. In the true spirit of Latinx hospitality, it also offers a full service restaurant, which is a rare sight in an LA celebrity nightclub. You can go for dinner, and then retire for some drinks and a few dances.

As you should expect from a pan-Latino nightclub, the music is Latino-based. But don't expect the salsa sounds from back in the 90s! They have incorporated EDM, pop, rock, world beat, hip hop, and jazz, much like Latino music has done over the last couple of decades. They feature the very best DJs in LA and you will not find fresher, bolder sounds anywhere in town.

This club has hosted movie debuts, award shows, record launches, and after parties. So if you want a Hollywood nightclub experience, this is the place to go. Co-owned by the likes of J. Lo, Jimmy Smits, and will.i.am, you should see plenty of celebrities in this club. Or, if you would rather have it all to yourself, private bookings are the most luxurious experience you could ask for.

It may fit up to 1000 guests, but the place fills up faster than some 300-strong clubs in the area. Do not expect to just get in at the door. It isn't happening. You have to be on the guest list if you want to guarantee yourself a place. And, even if you are on the guest list, you have to look good. The dress code states upscale, fashionable attire, dress shoes only, and all sportswear is explicitly forbidden. If you try and get in looking anything less than perfect, it is up to management to decide if you should be let in.
